The first ever MotoGP in India witnessed tremendous excitement & appreciation by the MotoGP riders and from the enthusiastic fans of a country which boasts the highest numbers of two wheelers sold in the world.

The track was modified for the 2023 event to include more gravel run-off areas and less asphalt. Safety measures were also improved with the addition of over 1.8 kilometers of safety devices.
